The virtual president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, has been meeting with current and elected governors from all over the country. There, each of the governors have announced the priority projects for their entities. In her fourth consecutive meeting with the governors of the Southeast of Mexico, she agreed to move forward with the pending projects of the Maya Train and the Interoceanic Train, the latter having two lines, one that will go to Guatemala and the other to Dos Bocas. She will invest some 83 billion pesos to complete these projects, in two years at the latest.
But in addition, Sheinbaum Pardo will support the program of 20 thousand homes for Tabasco, the same one that Javier May Rodríguez announced. The meeting was fruitful for Tabasco, and for the governor-elect, he stated that good times are coming for the people, the support of the virtual president-elect will be available for six years, and investments and well-being for the State will continue. A challenge, one of the commitments made by Javier May, will be to continue developing the infrastructure for the distribution of drinking water. A real old problem that the people of Tabasco continue to suffer every day. And it is not precisely the lack of the vital liquid, but how to bring it to the communities.
Although we remember that in the current federal administration, investment was made in the aqueduct for the new water treatment plant in Villahermosa and in the water plant in San Carlos, Macuspana. Hopefully everything will be done as announced, jointly by the three levels of government. The shortage of drinking water both in the communities and in the popular neighborhoods of the state capital itself, greatly affects all the people of Tabasco, their economy…
POVERTY.- According to the National Census of State Public Security (CNSPE) published this week by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), 99.3 percent of preventive police officers do not earn even ten thousand pesos a month. This means that the Tabasco police are the second worst paid in the Mexican Republic, after Tamaulipas. However, the Tabasco state, like Campeche, have 1.5 preventive police officers per thousand inhabitants, that is, the highest rate in Mexico. In contrast to the salary situation of the ‘chocos’ police officers, for example, in Nuevo Leon, Veracruz and Yucatan, their officers earn 25 thousand to 30 thousand pesos per month. Almost three times more than in Tabasco. Unfortunately in Mexico, and in Tabasco, there are occupations and professions that are poorly paid and do not take into account either training or updating. Although the spokesman for Governor Merino has already clarified that the INEGI has other data.
We are told that the regional delegate of the National Association of Parents of Families reported that the sum of the collection of voluntary fees far exceeds the budget allocated to the Ministry of Education for their maintenance. And it is that every year, prior to the start of a new school year, a lot of opinions come to light about the famous contributions that parents give. They are mixed opinions, some are in favor and others are not.
However, what is a reality is that schools do not receive financial resources or cleaning materials from state educational authorities. The directors do not receive or manage the voluntary contributions from parents. These financial contributions are agreements that they make among themselves and it is the members of the APF who manage the money and acquire the necessary materials to keep the educational establishments in optimal conditions. Logically, the amount of the contributions varies according to the type of school, capacity and needs.
The Secretariat of Education (Setab) does the same, making it known through the different media and on social networks that these contributions are not mandatory, so some parents refuse to cooperate, but they do demand that there be toilet paper, soap and even antibacterial gel in the school. A question that school directors ask themselves is why, if the Setab says that fees are not obligatory, at the end of the school year it is obligatory to request an accounting report from the Parents’ Association?
