One way to regulate the migratory flow in Tabasco is the installation of rest houses for migrants to prevent them from wandering around the state and sleeping on the streets, said the elected representative, Liliana Guadalupe Coutiño Peña.
After the announcement of the CBP One application to schedule appointments for asylum seekers on the southern border of the United States, she commented that this will prevent an exodus of immigrants throughout the state.
“It would be a way to regulate them, so that there is not so much flow of people, of population, so to speak, and everything can be in order. So that they are no longer on the streets. That is why I will propose rest houses for migrants, so that they are no longer homeless. So that they do not go hungry,” she said.
In an interview with Grupo Cantón, she said that despite the launch of the application, it will depend on the number of people who use it and the state in which they decide to use it.
However, he pointed out that the proposed rest areas will contain the dispersion throughout the state and will allow for better focus on the resources destined to support them.
Likewise, he will ask that in the educational area, more activities be implemented where teachers can raise awareness among students about the conditions that force migrants to come to Tabasco.
“To learn and understand a little more about the culture of those countries and the people who are visiting but permanently here in our state” he concluded.
