Villahermosa transforms into a vibrant scene of celebration, music, and tradition this Sunday with the arrival of the highly anticipated parade of floats, one of the most popular events leading up to the Tabasco Fair. From early morning, the city’s main avenues begin to fill with hundreds of families seeking the best spots to enjoy the spectacle.

The 6.5-kilometer route will begin at the Malecón (boardwalk) and proceed along major thoroughfares, concluding at the Sports Complex. Throughout the parade, the colorful and creative floats will be accompanied by the 17 ambassadors representing the municipalities, who will grace the procession on its way to Tabasco’s biggest celebration.

Although the parade is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m., residents began reserving spots the night before at key locations such as Gregorio Méndez Magaña Avenue, near the Atasta Recreational Center. Parked vehicles, chairs, and even coolers are part of the pre-parade scene, where some attendees have even set up coolers to stay hydrated while they wait.

The traffic operation is already underway. Authorities have closed several strategic intersections, including Méndez and 27 de Febrero, as well as the intersections with Pagés Llergo and Paseo Tabasco, near Los Guacamayos Park. Barriers have also been installed along the parade route to ensure order and the safety of the attendees.

The city is ready to celebrate one of its most iconic events, where tradition, identity, and joy combine in a parade that draws thousands of spectators every year.
