Tabasco está en pláticas con fábricas de etanol, carros eléctricos y varillas de acero reciclado, revela Katia Ornelas

The State government is maintaining contacts with companies dedicated to the production of ethanol, as well as others related to the manufacture of electric cars and recycled steel rods, revealed the Secretary for Economic Development and Competitiveness, Katia Ornelas.

And she said, the Border Port project has generated a favorable expectation for the mobilization of products of all kinds, both inside and outside the country, so there are investors who are exploring the possibility of setting up in the entity.

“We have talks with a methanol factory, we are still going to define a visit, King Energy also has the intention of approaching the governor for a letter of commitment that has to do with electric cars and electric energy, there is a company of rods that are made of recycled material, because Tabasco also seems like a state that has optimal conditions logistically speaking for everything it distributes.

“The port of Frontera is going to trigger an economy not only in the state, but in the entire region very importantly, it is going to depressurize the roads a lot and if we quickly manage to consolidate the port of Frontera it is going to be a place that is going to have a possibility of triggering the entire oil part, but also commercially in a significant way,” he explained.

He asserted that, even with the port of Frontera as a logistics node, the processes of sale and distribution of the products will be more efficient, the costs of transport will be reduced and this could also translate into a decrease in the final prices for the consumer.
