Independent Workers of the Social Security Institute of the State of Tabasco (SUITISSET), ruled out that there is an alarm in the health services due to an alleged increase in Covid infections.

According to the general secretary of this organization, María Teresa García Rodríguez, the measures that are maintained are the same, focused on prevention, but there is not an excessive rate of infections among the worker base.

When questioned about a circular where all personnel assigned to this headquarters are asked to reinforce preventive measures, she acknowledged that it is part of the preventive measures.

“Everything is fine, without problems, the measures are to put on our face masks, wash our hands, precautionary measures, both inside and outside,” she said.

With this, she ruled out that up to now there have been possible outbreaks of Covid among hospital staff, so the recommendations to workers are preventive such as the use of face masks and constant hand washing as well as healthy distance.

She considered that at this point, the Health System is prepared to deal with this disease, in addition, the people who are infected do not have as many risks as when the most critical part of the pandemic that took place in 2020 and 2021

“Well, they are the minimum, but if it is a flu like a cough, they treat it, but it is not like when it started,” she stressed.
