According to their asset declarations, the representatives’ expenses do not match their income. Many deny their income and make various contradictions in the documents where they filed their asset declarations, which were only filed in May 2025.
And beyond the words, and although some declare salaries half the minimum wage, it is clear that they are increasing their wealth and luxuries with bulging pickup trucks, sumptuous residences, high-value land, and cattle ranches. THEY EARN A LOT, VACATION MORE
Tabasco legislators earn a lot of money, up to 120,000 pesos a month, despite their limited activities. Their legislation is almost nonexistent; most have no initiatives.
They meet twice a week, but are currently on recess (vacation), from May 16 to September 4. Only the Standing Committee remains, holding a weekly session, where they take attendance, have breakfast, and leave. They have pending issues such as the ISSET reform and the enactment of the Civil and Family Law.
