“Get Down, Get Down!”: Bus Passengers Caught in Crossfire During Tabasco Shooting

Last Monday, Villahermosa, Tabasco, experienced blockades and armed attacks. In one of these incidents, bus passengers were caught in the crossfire, and a video of the terrifying moment is circulating on social media.

Bus Passengers Involved in Shooting

In the video, a group of people inside a bus can be seen ducking for cover upon hearing gunshots. They urge the driver to move forward to safety. After advancing a few meters, the bus stops, and everyone remains still, anxiously waiting for the shooting to end. The vehicle continues its journey once the gunfire ceases.

Vehicle Burnings in Villahermosa

On the same day, a group of armed men set fire to a trailer and two vehicles on the federal highway Villahermosa, heading towards Frontera, near Villa Ocuiltzapotlán. The attackers left the burned vehicles across the road, causing severe traffic chaos.

Additionally, a state police officer traveling in a private car with a woman was shot on the same highway. The officer survived and was taken to an emergency hospital.

A temporary blockade by motorcycle taxi drivers was also reported on the federal highway Villahermosa, heading towards Frontera.
