A young man named Gereniel “N,” known as “Liyito,” was kidnapped in broad daylight in Tabasco. Witnesses watched in shock and fear as a group of men forcibly pushed him into a car. Later, his dismembered body was found in Jalpa de Méndez.

Last Monday, in Chiltepec, a port town in the municipality of Paraíso, “Liyito” was abducted during daylight hours. A brief video, rapidly circulating on social media, captures the moment three armed men, their faces uncovered, attempt to force him into a white sedan.

In the first attempt, Gereniel manages to break free, but his captors overpower him and force him into the vehicle. The background music during the recording is the band’s song “El Caballito,” although it remains unclear whether it came from the assailants’ car.

What has shocked many upon viewing the video is the passivity of the onlookers, who observe without intervening as the young man is abducted at gunpoint.

It’s worth noting that local media reports indicate Gereniel had spent four years in a local detention center, although the exact nature of his crime remains uncertain, possibly related to the brutality of his murder.

On Tuesday, “Liyito’s” dismembered body was found in the community of Soyataco, 37 kilometers from the abduction site in Jalpa de Méndez. His remains were discovered in black plastic bags, with the head exposed. Gereniel’s family, originally from Nicolás Bravo tercera sección in the municipality of Paraíso, identified the remains.

Meanwhile, local authorities have promised a thorough investigation to apprehend those responsible for Gereniel’s brutal murder.
