Claudia Sheinbaum is a politician, scientist, writer, and academic who was the head of government of Mexico City from 2018 to 2023.
She is also the presidential candidate of the Morena party for the 2024 elections. She has been a close ally and supporter of Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), the current president of Mexico, since the 1990s. They both belong to the same political movement, the Fourth Transformation, that allegedly seeks to fight corruption, inequality, and poverty in the country.
