McDonald’s will withdraw artificial colors and flavors from its products in Mexico

Arcos Dorados, the master franchise of the McDonald’s fast food restaurant chain in Latin America and the Caribbean, will eliminate artificial colors and flavors from its flagship products.

According to the company, the initiative aims to accompany changes in consumption habits in society, in addition to improving the nutritional quality of millions of its customers.

McDonald’s Mexico will make the official announcement through a videoconference that will take place this Tuesday, September 1, with the participation of Francisco Bosch, CEO of McDonald’s Mexico; Félix Ramírez, Director of Corporate Communication at Arcos Dorados for the Nolad and Caribe Division, and Maricarmen Osés, McDonald’s consultant nutritionist.

McDonald’s adds this measure among others in order to promote the growth of the brand in the midst of great competition in the field of fast food, in addition to wanting to provide greater transparency to its customers about its products, the firm pointed out in its invitation.
