Don Leo Mendel; originally from Linnich, Germany; He arrives in Mexico and begins to work with struggle and effort in the agricultural area where his love and passion for the countryside is born, values ​​that he transmits to his family that with the same spirit of dedication Viñedos Don Leo has created in his memory.

2000


The vineyard began its first plantation in 2000 with a production of one hectare. Which through work and daily effort has been multiplying.

2007


This year we obtained our first wine, Don Leo Cabernet Sauvignon / Shiraz, where we realized the quality and characteristics of this great wine.

2008


Planting begins in the form of Pinot Noir, Cabernet and Shiraz strains on a total area of ​​6 hectares.

2011


Construction of our winery begins, with a total production scope of 500 hectares, with vision and technology of the first and highest level.

2012


The planting of different grape varieties continues, allowing us to produce wines such as: Don Leo Pinot Noir Don Leo Sauvignon Blanc and Don Leo Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva.

2013


Given the need to expand our presence, the “Linde” brand was born in honor of the very beloved wife of Don Leo, who had a great love for Mexico and the countryside. The production of wines such as: Linde Shiraz, Linde Cabernet Sauvignon and Linde Cabernet Sauvignon – Merlot begins.

Seeking to offer those who visit us an experience of encountering nature, we decided to open the doors of our facilities to the public by means of guided tours so that they enjoy the view of a living vineyard, leafy and ready to give their best harvests.

PINK WINE. Every time there is more consumption of rosé wine in the world, that is why we decided to encompass three characteristics in a single wine: quality, freshness and Glamor. Our Zinfandel wine is a very soft ruby ​​red wine, aromatically very intense with notes of red fruit, it is very friendly, smooth, and can be drunk at the ideal temperature without the need to pair it. Ideal to accompany seafood and white meat.

KOSHER ULTRAORTODOXO. The Jewish descent of Don Leo Mendel, its culture and its origin led us to the production of a Kosher wine, being one of the few wines in Mexico with this certification, Viñedos Don Leo, acquired it with the presence and authorization of Lic. R ́Z .L. LIBERSOHN, generating a wine of the highest quality. This wine is produced under the precepts of the kashrut, that is, its elaboration must meet strict standards under the supervision of a Jewish religious authority or qualified people of this religion, and manipulated by Jewish people; To be considered kosher wine, it must collaborate throughout the winemaking process, from the moment of harvest to the actual bottling.

STELLAR. The culture of the digestive and / or aperitif in Europe has been transmitted to Mexico little by little with more intensity, we decided to make a sweet wine with four different grape varieties, a little gewurztraminer, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and semillón; giving it an exquisite touch.

2018


The consumption of our wines has grown in a considerable way that has required the expansion of our territory, increasing the hectares in the plantation of our grape varieties by 20%.

2019


The international group IL DIVO, celebrated 15 years of career by closing its TIMELESS 15 ANNIVERSARY world tour in a great concert in our vineyard, marking the start of new events in our house.
