Users will pay 0.837 pesos for each of the first 75 kilowatt hours of basic consumption.
In the midst of the contingency that has been generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) will increase the electric energy rate for the domestic sector by 4% starting this April.
That is, now users will pay 0.837 pesos for each of the first 75 kilowatt hours of basic consumption.
This implies an increase of 0.044 pesos to the rate that had been maintained in the past six years as support for low-income families.
In recent days, Manuel Bartlett, director of the CFE, assured that they could not condone the payment of electric energy.
“They do not realize that it is a company like any other that has 90,000 workers, that has to pay wages, buy fuel permanently to generate electricity and cannot make waivers,” he said.
